A WOMAN has died in southern India after being attacked by a pack of savage monkeys while on her way to the bathroom.
Chataraboina Narsavva, 70, was at her home in the state of Telangana’s Kamareddy district when the monkeys brutally attacked her.

The pensioner, who lived with her daughter in Ramareddy village, was alone during the attack.
She was making her way to the bathroom when a pack of monkeys pounced onto her.
Local sources have said that neighbours shut themselves in their home until the gang of monkeys fled, but could hear Narsavva’s cries for help.
But rather than being mauled by the animals, police said that Narsavva had slipped and hit her head on the floor, the Times of India reports.
It has been reported that the old lady suffered serious injuries to her chest, back and limbs.
Her daughter, who was away for a wedding, arrived home 20 minutes later and rushed her mum to hospital.
But Narsavva tragically died following grievous injuries she had sustained.
Named as Anil, the inspector added that Narsavva had not been bitten by the monkeys during the attack.
‘We have come to know through locals that when the monkeys attacked her, she tried to escape.
‘In the process she slipped and fell down. She suffered head injury and died,’ an inspector from Ramareddy police station said.
Narsavva’s family cremated her soon after her death and police are continuing the investigation.
This terrifying attack is just one from a long list of monkey-related deaths in India, which is home to millions of primates.
In October 2020, a 13-year-old girl died after being chased off a roof by a violent gang of monkeys in India.
A group of killer monkeys also snatched a newborn baby from his mums arms in Agra, India.
The body of the baby boy was left on a neighbours roof after the horrific incident in 2018.
An OAP was also chased off a terrace to her death in India after a savage pack of monkeys attacked her in 2019.
And a troop of brutal primates threw a four-month-old baby to his death last year after snatching him from his mum’s hands.
