RUSSIA responded after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin over war crimes.
Putin was suspected of the unlawful deportation of children and unlawful transfer of people from the territory of Ukraine to the Russian Federation.
In a statement the ICC said Putin “is allegedly responsible for the war crime of unlawful deportation of population (children) and that of unlawful transfer of population (children) from occupied areas of Ukraine to the Russian Federation”.
Russian spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed Moscow does not recognise the jurisdiction of the ICC.
He added that the decisions were “null and void” with respect to Russia.
